Behind the Build
When creating Angie Bridges Care, I used WordPress to design a website that communicates complex healthcare and AI concepts in an accessible way. Through iterative improvements, project organization, and user-centered content design, I transformed the site from a personal webpage into a professional portfolio.
I designed and organized the site’s navigation, created project pages, developed content, incorporated visual branding, and structured information to improve the user experience. One challenge was balancing my nursing background with my interest in AI. Early versions of the site focused heavily on my nursing journey, but feedback revealed that visitors did not immediately understand my work in AI and healthcare innovation. I reorganized the homepage to feature The Handshake framework and project portfolio more prominently.
Reflection
Building Angie Bridges Care taught me that effective websites are not just about design. They require clear communication, thoughtful organization, and a strong understanding of the audience’s needs.
